DIY: Crochet beret. I’m using a medium thick yarn that’s half wool, half acrylic and a K size hook. I start with the chain four, 12 double crochet method to form the base I gradual increase around.
I chain four then DC 12 times in fourth chain from hook. Next round is 2 DC in each stitch. Then I do one round of shell stitch chaining one and skipping two stitches between shells.
So it’s basically 2 rows of DC, 1 round of shell stitch while gradually increasing on the DC rows until it has the circumference desired. This is a good “One skien” project for those looking to use up old stash by making a fun fashion accessory.
If anyone wants the full pattern let me know. It’s very quick and easy.
Happy crafting!
Here is my tank top I made over last weekend using the DIY tank top tutorial I posted last time. I used my Animal Muppet T-shirt. I had to cut a little extra deep into the sleeves and down the back neckline as I took them off. You may find you need to do this too when you make yours. It really depends on the shirt you are using. So be created and be bold! Don’t be afraid to modify according to your desire.
Have a beautiful day!
